About Us

Buddy began his career in the pest control industry in 2005. He worked in the field as a technician and was promoted into management in just under three years. Following a 12-year tenure in management, Buddy decided that it was time to start his own company to get back to the things that he loved about the industry: Problem Solving and Customer Satisfaction. So, in early 2020, just before the lockdowns, he founded Summit Pest Solutions. Within a few months he added an apprentice and a couple of months later his wife, Tana joined the team as Office Manager. Their daughter Anne Marie assists with filing, office cleaning, social media posts, and the occasional termite job. Buddy enjoys hiking, mountain biking, kayaking in his spare time. Buddy is an active member of Glory Tabernacle in Asheville.

Tana holds a degree in Business with a concentration in Office Systems Technology. She spent over a decade in the field of medical office administration and is a nationally certified Medical Coder. She brought those skills over to the family business and has adapted them to the exciting world of pest control. 

Tana is a Registered Technician with the state of NC having completed the required basic training to gain as much knowledge as possible to further assist our customers over the phone. Her unwavering dedication to customer service make her the backbone of the operation. Tana enjoys kayaking and fitness in her spare time. Tana is an active member of Glory Tabernacle assisting with Children’s Church, Youth Camp, and is a member of the Praise Team.

Anne Marie began helping dad with patching drill holes on termite jobs during the company’s first year in business. She also assists mom in the office with filing and cleaning and helps with social media awareness. Anne Marie is a junior at Brevard College pursuing a degree in Business. 

She is a former volleyball player earning 2 Bronze Medals at the AAU National Championships with (2) different clubs before moving on to focus on her new love of powerlifting. In only 2 official competitions she broke the NC State Records for (16-17) and (18-19) 132lb weight class for Deadlift, Squat, and Overall Weight and earned a Silver Medal at the Teen Nationals in 2022 in Chicago. Anne Marie is an active member of Glory Tabernacle and is a member of the Praise Team.

Mike has spent over 30 years in the pest control industry. His career began in NYC and when he and his wife Margo moved to WNC he continued in the industry having won the honor of being named PCT Magazine’s 2020 Pest Technician of the Year. 

Mike joined the Summit team in 2021 to assist with growth in both the residential and commercial markets. Mike & Margo raised two sons, Brian & Ian right here in Henderson County. Both men are now college graduates and enjoying successful careers of their own.

Dylan is a Certified Applicator for the state of NC and brings a background in carpentry to the team to assist with wildlife exclusion and repair work. In his spare time Dylan enjoys outdoor life including camping, hiking, and kayaking. Dylan recently completed hiking the Appalachian Trail in it’s entirety. He met his girlfriend, Samantha along the way and the two of them settled in Etowah.

Joey and his wife, Lisa relocated to Arden all the way from the great state of Texas in early 2024.  He brought his 8 years of industry experience to the Summit team in September of that year and is quickly learning to protect our WNC homes from area pests.  Joe (he answers to either) and Lisa enjoy hiking, are avid readers, and big fans of coffee (and maybe Texas A&M football).
